It was all in her head, Maybe

She was watching a horror movie and suddenly the power went off.. She was now scared to death.. Trembling with fear, she stretched her hands out of the blanket cuddled over her shoulders, to reach for her mobile phone.. she tapped left, right, little ahead, all around, it was simply out of reach. With sweat gathering over her forehead, her heart started beating faster, racing with each passing second. The last scene from the movie was still fresh on her mind, playing over and over again no matter how much she tried distracting herself to find the damn mobile!

The slow whispers by the wind hovering in her balcony made her believe someone's calling. She ignored it first, but could not hold much, as intensity of the sounds increased from loud to louder... It was half past three in the middle of night, just the right time for some typical random paranormal activities to get started, scaring her more. Maybe it was all in her head. Maybe it wasn't. She just closed her eyes tight, hoping sleep would kick in. It didn't. All her efforts to stay calm went in vain and she regretted her brave decision of Staying all by herself in this rumored haunted 13B.

Her mouth went dry when she saw it peeping in from the balcony. It wasn't just a shadow, it was more than that. bigger, much bigger. Her heart skipped a beat at the prospect of sharing the room with a ghost and it raced even faster as the shadow came to substance moving closer to her. It was just like the one she saw minutes ago on the television. Hooded, with a long veil covering its body or whatever there was beneath. It carried sadness along, just like Dementors. She cried out loud, her lungs were almost out but all she heard of herself was a hardly audible help. She felt glued to the bed, more like being tied to it, tightly. Her body freezed with her blood turning blue as the huge shadow touched her. She could see it closely, and then regretted it. she closed her eyes tighter and let out another loud scream, loud enough for her senses to wake..

Television echoed her and her dream broke. Glued on to the same position, she woke up with a bang. Tilting her head straight to see the credits screening on the television right in front of her eyes, she realized, Gosh! It was just a dream!!

Stupid, she thought of herself registering the details of all the things she just saw, rather experienced in head.. Joining the dots, she concluded it was all a jumbled vision of her tired thoughts and now she needed a good night sound sleep. Smiling at her silly self she stretched her hands out of the blanket cuddled over her shoulders to reach for her mobile phone.. She tapped left, right, little ahead, all around, and then its coldness touched her. The moment freezed and the lights went off...
