Let me know, what I mean to you

Let me know, how much you care for me

For I too long for words of praise.

I too have a heart that beats just like yours.

No laurels I ask for,

Neither applause,

Nor a position I long for,

I just long for a word,

A word of praise,

That sets my mind,

With colours of happiness.

  

Let me know my weaknesses,

But strengths are not hidden.

Mark my strengths 

And strengthen me, to the core.

Acknowledge my importance.

For me to acknowledge myself.
