Won't get everything we want

You won't get everything you want in life, 

You'll just have to let some things you couldn't control slide. 

Every moment you come across will have its own price, 

Count the advantages of the things you got and disadvantages of what you wanted, 

Because that's the only way you'll survive. 

The things you've been waiting for years to happen, 

Just as you were about to approach it, you notice possibilities cracking. 

You imagined  every moment of future you wanted to see, 

As if life would be obedient to you and would easily agree. 

But then when reality revealed itself, 

You noticed that all the fictions you wrote were missing from the shelf. 

You had your years checked, your near future figured out, 

Just then you heard life shout to you saying "what on earth are you dreaming about? ".

You feel as if nothing is going according to what you want, 

But you need to understand you're not the only one having those thoughts in the crowd. 

Slowly realising the life you thought once was rainbow and roses, 

Ends up giving you the most learnable cuts and bruises. 

The timing, the decision, the situation everything just going so wrong, 

All of it going completely opposite from the place you wanted it to belong. 

You knew the future was never in your hand, 

But you still didn't stop yourself from making the dream castle from your imagination's sand. 

Now you wish you could stop your daydreams before, 

Because at present it feels like it can't be reversed anymore. 

I wish I could accomplish the dream I had been working so hard for, 

It was not just the competition for me, it was so much more than the score. 

But everything happens for a reason and the feeling of disappointment will heal soon, 

The curses we see in situations today might be having a secret boon. 

And even if the present situation doesn't fit your dreams like a glove, 

It was never in our control,  its all command from the above.
