People Will Never Be Happy

No matter how much you work, 

No matter how high you reach. 

People won't be happy, 

They will continue to preach. 

You'll work hard, you'll give your hundred percent, 

But for them your efforts would always be absent. 

It's not because they want to put you down

It's just that they've learnt less of smiles and more of frown. 

And if your goal is to make all proud, 

Then good luck 

As people remember the good only after the person's buried in the ground. 

You'll follow love, you'll think pure, 

But according to them there will always be an aspect that'll need a cure. 

They'll say I don't like this, and you'll change it for them, 

But as soon as you change it, they'll need some change again. 

They say she could be better and the competition is tough, 

Who said she wanted to participate in something to rough? 

It's not that she wants you to praise her all day, 

But if you can't appreciate atleast keep the negativity away. 

They know not of the struggle behind the medal, 

But they'll always have a comment on the position of the metal. 

It may not be a gold, he may not be the best, 

Atleast he tried and did not give up like the rest. 

His good deeds long forgotten and that one mistake he made will take the limelight, 

In this situation an extrovert will prove them wrong, 

But what about that person who does not fight? 

He'll listen with his mouth shut in order to respect and to avoid conflict, 

And this respect is never noticed

As every one is busy improving their quality to predict. 

So stop pleasing people because it will never come true, 

And if you say the sky is white, they will always say it's blue. 

Stop fighting within yourself to prove that you are right, 

The rope of judgement is in their hands and they always hold it tight. 

And don't think of being the one people find the best, 

As it is impossible for them not to point out the defect. 

They'll neglect all your perseverance and complain to the rest, 

Their Conversation always ending with the sentence " Afterall, Man is not perfect "
