Where Do They Belong To

Where Do They Belong To

This poem talks about children who are forsaken by their parents due to one or two reasons. Due to the kind of pains and miseries and loss of hope, they end up spending Their lifetime on the street.

Tattered clothes are worn each and every day,

They live in a place full of dismay,

Their dreams, wishes and expectations are put in a cage,

What kind of pool are we living in?

It is all about anxieties and miseries, that we have seen,

We are living in a huge pool without fresh water,

We have no one to embrace him, like a father,

Our presence is just like a nightmare to our caretakers,

Our interest is sinking on the surface of a river like a boat,

Are we going to enjoy this sweet suffering to the end of the road?

The street is our source of survival,

It keeps our expectations into the abode of revival,

We are the children of the street; our favorite meal comes with sour meat,

We rule our own destiny,

This life journey is full of tragic scenes,

It's been a long time we had a good meal on the dining table owned by love and affection,

Our rugged soul is fed up with this kind of treatment,

We hope for the best, and not the worst.
