Women Empowerment

Indian women are on a high these days,

Call it awakening or empowerment or activism,

But the good news is that women never had it so good,

They are now bold, vociferous, and blaringly loud,

They are seen raising their voices on every forum,

They are seen raising a point on every national issue of importance,

They are also seen making their points clear on every raging debate,

More importantly they are being patiently heard and tolerated,

Notwithstanding the fact that most of their points are ambiguous,

Gone are the days when Indian women were mute spectators,

Today's women are vocal, daring, dramatic and able distractors,

Scoring a point and proving wrong their countless detractors,

Some might feel and opine that this is a very dangerous trend,

However I strongly support and welcome woman empowerment,

So what if there is a lot of drama and entertainment involved,

Times have changed and it is no more a man's own world, 

Where is the rule which says that "Circuses" can have only male clowns/jokers !!
