Tragedy

Why This Silence?

Why This Silence?

Milk of human kindness has curdled

Soaring dreams has turned sour.

Chasm has widened, no quick fix there.

Somewhere you hear the shout country mat todo, Bharat jodo.

Ruling elite remain muted

They know their policies boomeranged which they had mooted.

Over flowing are their coffers,

but for the rest a case of coffins.

Deadlines they meet, can’t afford their meat

In trying to make their ends meet,

They run around endlessly on their beat

It is a feat that seventy five year old nation is still finding its feet

But for the poor many a gate remain closed, they seem resigned to their fate.

Why aren't they making a noise

Let them elite lose their poise

Not enough to just cast your vote

Democracy is not merely something of a rote.
