When the sun sets in your arms I lay
When the sun sets in your arms I lay
‘Remember?’ I say with a deep intent,
Wanting you to reminisce the time we spent,
Like roses fresh with dew drops wet;
Fragrant as the morning's embrace,
Where the thorns would shrivel away,
Like a turtle within his shell,
When our eyes had met,
The hazel in yours and the turquoise in mine,
Encompassed stars of million above,
Within an iris, so enchantingly round.
‘Remember?’ I ask once again,
To relive the moment we fell,
Fell like the morning star,
Not cursed, but onto a hammock of perfumed flowers
We cuddled with our fingers thin,
The warm breath of yours on my chin,
And my palm upon your throbbing chest.
‘Remember?’ I ask once again,
Into the sky where you now belong in,
As a tear slides down slithering..
