When the sun sets in your arms I lay

When the sun sets in your arms I lay

‘Remember?’ I say with a deep intent,

Wanting you to reminisce the time we spent,

Like roses fresh with dew drops wet;

Fragrant as the morning's embrace,

Where the thorns would shrivel away,

Like a turtle within his shell,

When our eyes had met,

The hazel in yours and the turquoise in mine,

Encompassed stars of million above,

Within an iris, so enchantingly round.


‘Remember?’ I ask once again,

To relive the moment we fell,

Fell like the morning star,

Not cursed, but onto a hammock of perfumed flowers

We cuddled with our fingers thin,

The warm breath of yours on my chin,

And my palm upon your throbbing chest.

‘Remember?’ I ask once again,

Into the sky where you now belong in,

As a tear slides down slithering..
