Dear Father
Dear Father
The scent of the carnival popcorn still lingers
As I held your little pinky finger
Steady upon your shoulders you’d hold
While I clapped and laughed at the jokers quotes
Now my memories they falter
This tragic end, I question why?
Aflame with regrets concealed inside
As they silently place your coffin by mother’s side
You vanish into the darkness without kissing goodbye.
