What's Your Path?
What's Your Path?2 mins 208 2 mins 208
We wait our lives,
Seeking a chance,
To do what's right,
Keeping in mind what's ahead of us,
Rather than what's in sight,
Led by our ambitions,
Loosing, by the day, our inhibitions,
We strive to succeed,
Rather than chase what we truly believe,
Our steps are poisoned by myths galore,
Blinded by a meaningless, withering allure,
Deceived by other's perception of our reality,
Pondering over our dying morality,
Why do we act on a dream fugazy?
It's nothing more than an illusion,
A mirage on a day hazy,
Why not take a chance with what moves us from within?
Stand by your passion for it is no sin.
It's the truth!
If we can see the underlying meaning,
They are thoughts nor cripple or farfetched,
Breathe into them the fire of life,
Fuel them unbridled, and see for yourself,
The results won't be to your dismay
Take action now, for now is the time,
Fear the fall, but take the climb,
Don't waste it pandering to a song unsung,
It's a battle, that's long begun,
But, pause, and ask yourself this,
There is a price to be paid, one you might be lucky enough to miss,
When you do make it large,
To success, you shall barge,
No one shall you have to share,
A life of loneliness, you cannot dodge,
Will you be the one who chases a flower that's bloomed,
Or leap into a pool of undesirable misery, a bloodbath of the doomed,
What will you do then?
Riddle me this!
Will you do what's right,
Keeping in mind what's ahead or with what's in sight?
