What Happens When We Go To Sleep?
What Happens When We Go To Sleep?
What happens when we go to sleep?
And our eyes lose focus of all things real?
We're just machines, nothing to reap
Machines that can sigh and feel.
So, no, we don't go far away
No minds impaired, we're just logged in
To the servers working night and day
To the sleep servers, deep sleep within.
And when some eyes go black and deep
Some open--daytime--hard to pull.
Not insomnia-- when some lose their sleep
It's just, the sleep servers are full.
So, no, we don't go far away
When it's night here, somewhere else it's day
It's all per design, no divinity in play
As clockwork people, we're here to stay.
Worked up kids like you and me
We log in late, we pay the fees
The dreams that we get to see--
URL fulfilled reveries.
The sleep servers with networks vast,
May crash sometimes, nothing to fret
Longer one dreams, longer links last
No passwords, thus no schedules set.
So if one's mind is unable to see
Even after they've gone to sleep
Exhaustion isn’t the solitary key
Only so many videos can the servers keep.
The videos made in studios, you say?
Maybe; but most are memories-- mild
So if it's of one's choice in a way
The episode's great, one sleeps like a child.
