It isn't often that you come across someone you'd trust with your life,

I don't have to worry about my weak wings because she will lift me up with her when she flies away.

Through all the nights and the fights,

The love is as ever-present as my pulse because she's here to stay.

Sharing childhood memories and grown-up dreams,

A perfect sister I'm not, but I'm thankful for the one I've got.

Because when she looks at me with a smile and beams,

I can't help but meltdown then and there at that spot.

I may not be able to solve all of her problems,

But she'll never have to face them alone.

We still have silly arguments and quarrels,
