Things I Wish You Knew
Things I Wish You Knew
Things I wish you knew,
A few people made a debut
Writing a poem about it is all I can do
But soon I'll explain the gory details to you It's overdue
The boy I chose to pursue,
You were right about him,
More than his hand made me grab a tissue
Made me feel like looking in the mirror is a sin,
Like I am the issue
I tried to hold you near,
Things took a turn,
Some things that I always feared
Made sure the old me could never return
And that for safety I might just have to yearn
Anxiety and breathlessness,
Without surety of you more restless
Put up your old ring as a necklace
Life still seems quite meaningless
Family has changed and so has its meaning,
False things I was believing
For your response, I am forever waiting
I know you'll come back,
Please don't wake me if I'm dreaming
