The Walk
The Walk
I walked a thousand miles
From city lights, around the countryside
I walked to the isle
Seashore holds hurricanes inside
Though it is quiet,
Only the one's within could find
It is nostalgic here, lying under the vast sky
Blink for a moment paints the journey past
The winds, the woods, the rains, the mountains
All reside within the heart
Sigh!
Every breath longing to ride back
But the broken bridges could not be mend
And another day, a month, a year
Hopes in the blinking eyes still pictures the journey past
It has been warm being here
With happiness that I remember the walk, the last.
