Morning Dream

Morning Dream

I watch them every morning

While I sweep the patio of my small house

They carry big bags on their back

Rectangular, square, blue and black.

Or some carry it on side.

They put bundle of pages punched together with a hard cover in it.

People call those pages a 'book'.

I see them from a distance.

They are large in number, going inside a building

They call it 'school'.

I too have a bag

I carry my lunchbox in it.

Of course I need it, I work 9 to 6

I broom, clean and cook

I go to several buildings

But I have never been to the one of that kind,

The one where most of the kids of my age go.

I dream every morning

While I sweep the patio of my small house.
