The Real Indians

This is our country

This is our pride

This is our nation

But are we on the same side?

We focus on religion

We focus on caste

We focus on status

We put our citizenship last

We let corruption prevail

We don't take a stand

We vote for convicts

And we say we love our land

We look down on the poor

We ignore the illiterate

We only work for self benefits

Then how are we doing our bit?

We dirty our country

We disregard natural resources

We damage our property

And have no respect for our defence forces

But it is our soldiers who are truly Indian

Here there's no division of caste or creed

They do their job no matter how hard

And lay down their lives when India is in need
