Never Give Up

Life is a game and we all must play

This charade goes on till our very last day

Like a game of snakes n ladders, we rise and fall

Or we may get tossed around like a ping pong ball

We have to keep moving, we cannot wait

Even if someone says checkmate

It's not always about winning the race

At times, we will need to lose with grace

But no matter what the day or season

We have to go on, despite the reason

We may top an exam or miserably fail

This is what the game of life will entail

But no matter what the outcome brings

We need to wake up when the alarm rings

We need to accept the good with the bad

Once we realize that, there's no being sad

Like all good things must come to an end

So the bad things too will find a bend

All dark clouds have a silver lining

It's only a matter of that perfect timing

So no matter what, we must get up and get dressed

As that may be the day we may get someone impressed

The road ahead may not seem fair

But each of us is capable of getting there

We must not quit, we must go on

As this game of life will make us strong

We may get cheated, we may run out of time

We may get our hearts are broken or be thrown out of line

But we have to throw that dice and move steps ahead

Life is not always a rose-filled bed

You must remember to never give up

As the next step may just turn around our luck

And take us to the place we want to be

The place where this game has reached its epitome.

Remember, there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

So take life head on and put up a good show
