Lessons from Windmill
Lessons from Windmill
Clouds loom large over the horizon
Sometimes assuming the fearsome shape of lion
Yet they have no power of their own
It is the wind which drives them on.
A lone ship stays anchored on the shore
Come evening it may be joined by many more
If the wind blows more
It will bring even fishermen to the shore.
Men watch from the distance
As the wind unleashes its violence
A sea-storm is arriving soon
Behind it is the power of moon.
In the storm the windmill stands tall
It does not bend it does not crawl
As the wind acquires more speed
The windmill gets it as a feed.
A few scattered houses stay sheltered
Far away from the shore that is cluttered
While windmill harnesses the energy of wind
In the distance safety they find.
The windmill turns adversary into partner
The way soil is moulded by the gardener
The course of life alters from negative to positive
By making changes in ourselves that are conclusive.
