Garden Of Our Lives (Week 26 Theme : Good Vs. Evil)
Garden Of Our Lives (Week 26 Theme : Good Vs. Evil)
We’ve been taught forever that good wins over evil,
But what if the opposite happens? If the reign of the devil
Rules supreme over our intents and living simply?
Then autocracy is let loose, and history repeats as an example.
Good and evil, like them or not, always go in pairs
Like opposite attraction, they’re to be found in many fairs
To judge them, would amount to splitting hairs –
One has only to seek – the good always resides in the evil lairs.
‘Think and do no evil’ - is a good saying,
But, to do or to follow it, is hardly paying
Seduction is the prime evil ever since men have been sinning
God had banished Adam and Eve, leaving them pining.
Milton wrote his epic, Paradise Lost based on this theme,
To segregate the good and the evil is always a noble scheme,
Adam, Eve and Satan formed the backdrop and appeared as a team,
One has to read the poem, in order to grasp what the lines mean.
‘Good always wins over evil’ – this may not apply
Always – despite all our ways to simplify
As times are, evil rides now on a high
We’ve to fight against it without a why.
