The Fearless Mind (Week 36 Theme: Invincible)

Writers are gifted with the power of their pen

Words form in their minds to help others move out of the killer’s den –

People with lofty minds are rare, we salute them, a la’ Mr. Amartya Sen

Whether it’s better to fight, is something of a conundrum akin to peacock and peahen.

Tagore wrote – “Where the mind is without fear and the head held high”

It is this invincible MIND that’s fearless, understand you all well tonight!!

Attempts to brainwash human minds are impossible, it’s a lie

Our minds direct us in our paths, in our journeys, till we die.

It’s always our bodies that succumb to outside pressure

Our bodies again become satisfied with pleasures of physical nature –

But our minds fight against all onslaughts of Fortune’s eraser

It’s our nature to stand up against odds and we struggle till we turn to ether.

It’s our minds which guide us towards the right path

Intellect washes us clean, much like a warm bath –

We must protect our minds from forms of self-wrath,

Unlike our bodies, our minds fight endlessly before merging with Mother Earth.

Human intellect – invincible – is the crux of our being,

When ignored, we stop living, only to continue breathing.
