I am a Candle

Hello, I am a candle,

And the job of keeping light I handle.

I light houses with my glowing and warm fire,

But if a cloth comes in contact, the consequences are dire.

I light diyas in Diwali and make people happy,

At that time, nobody is snappy.

But I am also lit when someone dies,

And then, everyone cries.

I am used for both good and bad,

But I like to make people glad.

I like to see smiles on their face,

Because life my friend, is like a race.

I like to be guiding light in this race,

So I can help you run in a fast pace.

So this Diwali, let's make smiles bright,

And whoever is sick, let's make them alright.
