The Fish in Stork’s Bill
The Fish in Stork’s Bill
It walks with swagger
Over the ground and water
It flies low
Looks for the fish to show.
It appears to be meditating
Standing on one leg
Waiting for the prey to appear
It waits without any fear.
The fish swim around the bird
Taking no notice of its bent leg
It pounces upon the prey
Picks it in its beak and flies away.
Its long stout bill
Helps it to kill
It is a hunter of small amphibians and fish
Once his eyes are set it never does miss.
It stays inactive for longer times
Its claws are stronger as knives
It is going to have a hearty meal
Of the fish, it carries in its bill.
