The White Sheet on Earth

Birds, trees and animals run for the shelter

As the snowflakes slowly fall on the ground

The earth becomes wetter and wetter

Among the humans there is merriment all around.

Children run helter-skelter

Watching and feeling the soft touch of falling snow

The grown-ups run inside seeking shelter

Inside is better, that is the all they know.

The earth is covered in white sheet

Yet the sky does not let up

The snow shall soon rise to the level of feet

The trees are white

So are the flowers

The whole place is covered with while light

Houses and cars are covered by showers.

Memories are like snowfall

A soft touch on heart and soul

They pierce the mental firewall

The throbbing of heart becomes out of control.

The sun soon comes out of clouds

Melting the snow and memories alike

The roads are filled with teeming crowds

It is back to normal life.
