THE NIGHTMARE

"The earth sits on a nuclear bomb

And soon it will hear it's funeral song

It's time for us to a new planet escape

We are on a secret mission,, our life is at stake"

So that's how the message ran

I was sent to a planet ,for a landscape- scan

Now setting foot on soil, hard and coarse

I ventured far for this place to endorse

I was soon face to face with a new human race

They - the cave dwellers and I --from outer space

With threatening looks they scrutinised

'twas then that I eventually realised

They intended to spear me and prepare human roast

And dance and sing,perhaps raise a toast.

Then the chirping tone of alarm on my phone

Made me realise I was still at home

Now wide awake I remember still

Bad Folks on a planet whom I met on a drill.
