The Beauty of Autumn

The Beauty of Autumn

After the cloudy skies are gone, the pleasant autumn comes,

A season of bountiful fruitfulness-

The fluffy clouds give the hills a rosy hue,

Floating across the clear ,blue sky that seems to bless.

The orchid plants are in full bloom,

Sweet is the fragrance of their pink blossoms beneath the leaves,

But sweeter is the fruits in the tender vines,

Handing under the cottage's eaves.

I like the swallows tweeting

As they hover over the garden-croft,

And they rest on the leafy boughs of the trees ,

Moving their long plumes so soft.

Swirling and twirling is the small green tuft of grass,

As the autumn breeze winnows through,

Then blows away towards the clear sky,

So large and blue.

Under the chestnut bower, as I step on the fallen leaves,

With autumnal russet tips,

They crackle o'er the turf of the lawns

Where the small anemone bush peeps.

Under the shady mango trees, the small robins sing-

To their heart's content, their pretty autumn melody;

I like their adorable voices,

Beneath the long leaves where I can't see.

Down below from from hedge to hedge ,

The crickets gently croon.

Clear morn, fluffy clouds

This is truly a God's boon.
