Sister Roses

Sister Roses

Our madam's bright smile is our ornament,

If she sells us tomorrow,

And even if we become the ornaments of a bouquet for our new master,

 I wish,

May we smile together!

Never sulk, O sister Zana,

I promise,

Zana and Ghana will smile together!

 Listen to me, O Zana,

 Your brushing petals,

Your tiny pollens,

When diffused into the diamond droplets,

Incense the air!

May you smile forever, O sister! May you smile forever!

Listen to me, O sister Ghana,

Your shining petals,

Your light Pollens,

When diffused into the VIBGYOR forming droplets aromatize the air!

O sister, may you smile forever!

And so the sister roses passed the night praising each other and perfuming the breeze....

"Take Ghana, take Zana, take Minaal, take Meenu, for just two pennies, O people of the empty streets,

Respect my blooming wrinkles,

O people, take Ghana, take Zana"

O sister Ghana,

See, see madam's wide eyes are glittering!

See, see a beautiful girl with cheeks as beautiful as that of yours,

With lips mistaken by naïve bees as nectar filled petals,

With tender fingers is approaching towards me,

But sister, you see, see,  the cruelty of the graceful form of this young girl,

Who bears me alone as a gift in her hands.

Why don't you see?

O how those tears dared to blur your vision? Why don't you see?

Never sulk, O sister Zana, never sulk!

Even if we don't paint the same air with our intoxicating fragrance,

Even if we don't share the same master,

Even if our visions are swept by the darkness of laments,

Never sulk, O sister Zana, Never sulk!

Listen to me, O sister Ghana if you could...

Our Smiles have ended though you pretend it hasn't.

Your brushing petals,

Your tiny pollens,

I sulk for them!

Yes, I sulk for them!

O sister Ghana,

I wonder, how to salute your greatness?

Oh my sister you shed your petals and devoted them to the wrinkled feet of my old master

O sister, you say me not to sulk,

Though you yourself destroyed yourself in my sulking..

How should I not sulk O sister?

How should I not sulk?

And so the sister roses passed this world sulking for each other,

But still, perfuming the breeze..

And so the breeze echoed,

 "May you smile together,

O Ghana and Zana!

May you smile together forever!"
