where are you God
where are you God
In the stones and mountains, I sought you, dear God,
But not a single word from you have I heard,
With tears, I bathed your idol day and night,
Yet you have not graced me with a visit, it seems quite absurd.
Why do we shed blood to appease you, dear God?
Why must goats be sacrificed for your grace?
A starving soul lies on your temple steps, forsaken,
While others offer gold, silver, and notes of hundreds
The wealthy oppress the poor with injustice,
Is it only in cash and notes that you reside, dear God?
Oh, dear God, I have searched for you tirelessly,
In the stones and mountains, in temples, and in prayer,
But your silence is deafening, your absence profound,
In the face of such suffering, do you truly not care?
Yet, still, I hold onto hope, for there must be a reason,
Perhaps in this darkness, a lesson to be learned,
That true devotion lies not in lavish offerings,
But in acts of kindness and justice, truly earned.
So I continue my search, with faith ever strong,
In the stones and mountains, I persistently roam,
Hoping one day to find you, dear God,
And discover the true meaning of home.
