Make Yourself Pure To See God

Make Yourself Pure To See God

I don't have an appointment to meet the divine

I am just an ordinary man in this material scene

Why should God attend to my needs?

When I haven't done any spiritual deeds

Why should God bless me with health or wealth?

When I have not taken a spiritual path

Why should God come from his realm to give me darshan?

When I am not awakened by spiritual Gyan

Why should God save me from all the pain?

When I have not drenched my soul in spiritual rain

How stupid am I to blame God for my misery?

Do I even know about my karmic history?

Who knows what sin I have committed?

Who knows what thoughts I had manufactured?

Even if God forgives, our karma never forgives

You cannot escape its fiery waves

What we are today is a reflection of our past actions

We are accountable for our bruises and burns

Let us immaculate our souls through service

That is when our hearts can find peace

Who knows one day we can become the messenger of God

Performing the duties assigned to us by the Lord
