Me and My Books
Me and My Books
A library is not a building,
It is a door to places unexplored,
And as I pick a book sit down to read,
I go on adventures beyond my wildest dreams.
At times I find myself in France,
Fighting beside the gallant musketeers,
Or inside a dark mysterious cave,
With a wicked witch and her seer.
Once I was in the jungles of Kenya,
Learning about chimps with Jane Goodall,
I've even seen the great George Washington,
Answer to America's freedom call.
I've seen the dysfunctional future of the world,
Wrecked with war and injustice,
I've also seen a princess and her prince,
Living in absolute heavenly bliss.
So put away your phones,
And switch off the T. V set,
Pick a good book to read,
For an amazing adventure, you will get!
