Bring Back My Childhood

Who will return  my childhood days, as I wish

When we used to play for hours

Even without food and water for play long hours

Life was without computers and Mobiles

Even today, every day remains in my memories

When household items were toys

Used to play from house to house

Our toys were the kitchen-items

Used to make houses out of big and thick cardboard boxes

Also used to to put the curtain of old clothes 

There was no burden of education and careers

No compulsion for private tuition

There were restrictions and principles

But no interference, it was just comfort thus

Nor was there a hoard of branded clothes and toys

There was no difference in colour nor any restriction of religion or caste

All the children were friends of the same age

There was no fear of storms, rain and sunshine

Friendship was the meaning of the world and life

Who will bring that childhood,

When we lived happily

Now, life in the village has changed completely

Who will bring back my childhood?

That memory will remain even on the deathbed.
