A REBIRTH IS BETTER

Leaves sway in the wind freely;

The wind journeys in the direction it chooses.

Inhabitants of nature, big and small,

Bask in unrestricted freedom from birth to death,

But men on earth have been redefining it since the ages.

Ants parade crossing boundaries with no passport;

Birds, too, enjoy the same life.

They roam about places beyond our reach.

And pay no tax for the tree house they dwell in.

Spiders weaving web every day and night are charged nothing.

Men in white plunder us under the disguise

And loot our hard-earned pennies ruthlessly,

Promising to utilize it for noble causes.

Yet, no sign of progress is in view,

But their pockets grow like huge bellies.

Fortunate are they who take rebirths

As beings with wings and tails.

Having a brain gets us to reason,

Sometimes for good or for evil.

Instinct, not reasoning, proves better at times.
