Serenity
Serenity

Like mother, like daughter, oft we hear
What if it happens the other way round?
Neither an orthodox mom nor an equal
Maturity is not a privilege to grumpy people
But relishing the gift of life is definitely one!
With her shriveled face and passé silhouette
She is still a darling to those who matter!
Her senescent mane still holds the crown
Yet her witty jokes and motherly touch
Have gained a terrible fan-following!
From social media to smartphone
Well-versed in many a subject
From ladle to steering, she handles them all!
Her confident and imperturbable smile
Brutally slays the censuring world!
O! Don’t fall for the deceptive visage!
She stands tall, undisturbed by life
She has braved it, with gratitude and prayers!
A positive stratagem to life, what else does she need?
If not serenity then what can it be?
