Shrouded Ray
Shrouded Ray
In this fake world where trust isn’t available,
Surviving alone is itself a story to narrate,
Looking back, and digging in the past,
I amass treasures of hope and resilience,
And, plying them for my bleak present.
Through painful mistakes, light has emerged,
Restoring the health and effervescence,
Of my otherwise drooping and worn-out soul,
Lest it gets permanently lost in the dark pit,
Of demonic fear and helplessness aplenty.
As I’m forced to rely on none but myself,
I discover shrouded hacks to alter my life,
What else can this be, but hope in action,
Improving my self-confidence and propelling me,
Towards my goal through a difficult but sublime journey.
Whenever there has been a delay or a pause,
I’ve learnt to stay calm, and cling to prayers,
For there’s a greater danger ahead, I’m unaware of,
And, when the terrible storms finally recede,
I can see the bigger picture, and feel blessed.
But that flickering flame needs to be preserved,
Only with consistency and building good habits,
Otherwise, it’s too slippery to stay in the hands,
And, the devil is waiting for this very moment,
To seize my spirit and kill my bubbling spirit.
