Second Childhood
Second Childhood
The old man smiled to himself
He played, played and was still playing
To his old wife, his second childhood
Seemed painful, and also quite annoying.
He jumped merrily, and
Gave his wife a childish smile.
Tears flowed over her cheek,
Seeing her dear husband turn senile.
In the hall, he sat down
And made a lot of mess
In the yard, watching him,
She cried over his helplessness.
He, unknown with her moans,
Kept cherishing her everyday...
Until one day, she cried a lot
When his soul faded away.
