Rivers Of Blood - A Sonnet
Rivers Of Blood - A Sonnet1 min 158 1 min 158
There was a strange kingdom far far away
In which flowed a river, sparkling and bright.
Pretty swans swam in it during the day
While terrifying creatures lurked at night
The legend goes that when one was cruel,
A drop of blood fell into this river.
But each time one cheerfully spread goodwill,
The river turned a little bit purer.
Not a soul has seen this river but mine
And as I saw what others died to see,
I simply couldn't stop myself from crying
And I ran away; I had to flee.
The river was bloodier than rose fields
And was drowning a child, muffling their shrieks
