Ride
Ride

As the fall began to subside
I decided to go on a ride.
A ride of destiny, where
Life was encapsulated
As a song of the labyrinth.
Jaw dropping sunset
Chirping birds
Twerking butterflies
Mighty mountains
And flowers swaying
All with their
Enchanting spell
Welcomed me.
As I had started
My wanderlust
I saw somewhere
There was an old woman
Sitting on the broken
Wooden bench
Wearing a white saree.
Her pale eyes were
Looking gently at the kids
Who were playing around
And silent tears
Flowing from her eyes
Touched her wrinkled skin.
I went ahead and saw
A boy holding his result card
With anxious heart
And sweaty hands
Was about to enter his home
His trembling hand
Was unable to open the door.
Somewhere else
A husband and wife
N
ewlywed they appeared
Working from 9 AM to 9 PM
Returned their home
Only to find
An empty silence
And lifeless walls.
And then
Far away, I saw the sky,
Blinking stars,
Beautiful moonlight,
Adorable scenery,
And a heart-wrenching tale.
I pondered a bit about
What is life, for what should we thrive?
What is destiny, why it is so lonely?
What is good, and what is bad?
At the end of the night, we all go to sleep.
We all work hard and We all keep striving.
We all fall in love and we all want to have someone true.
I tried to recall
About the days I had
Lived so far
Suddenly I realised
A white light
Was gleaming
From my body.
Then I saw
My lifeless body was lying
Getting soaked in the cold water.
Yet a pleasant smile
Seemingly evident
My spirit was carrying.
