Red Roses1 min 399 1 min 399
As dead roses are,
With stems bent like backs,
And colours lost in the air.
Once red with life, now brown
Petals are scattered like confetti
When you look at them,
You remember those days
When they swayed back and forth
Dancing with energy never seen before.
And you admire their young beauty
Which didn’t last long.
And now you see their strength
Fall down and break like fragile glass.
And the once coloured petals,
Now wilt in despair and our eyes
Look over them in pity,
As all hope is drained.
This is the real world.
Here our hearts stand as red roses.
Some young, some old,
Some weak and worn.
And as time passes,
We wilt just like the red roses.
