Power

Power is dangerous,

Power is only given to those,

Who are prepared to lower themselves to pick it up,

It corrupts the best and attracts the worst,

Power isn’t controlled at all,

Power is strength, and giving that strength to others,

A leader isn’t someone who forces others to make him stronger,

A leader is someone willing to give his strength to others,

That they may have the strength to stand on their own.

Find people who share your values,

And you’ll conquer the world together,

The greatest act of faith some days is to simply get up and face another day.

Never work just for money or for power, They won’t save your soul or help you sleep at night.

No matter how tiny you look,

You can lead huge men if you have what the huge men don’t have,

When people see you’re happy doing what you’re doing,

It sort of takes the power away from them to tease you about it.

When you become the image of your own imagination,

It’s the most powerful thing you could ever do.

Only courageous hearts can endure the bitterness of truth,

I am not anxious to be the loudest voice or the most popular but,

I would like to think that at a crucial moment,

I was an effective voice of the voiceless, an effective hope of the hopeless.

The power behind words lies with the person,

It is always the enemy who started it,

Even if he was not the first to speak out, he was certainly planning it;

And if he was not actually planning it,

He was thinking of it;

And, if he was not thinking of it,

He would have thought of it.

It is much easier to put existing resources to better use,

Then to develop resources where they do not exist.

Power is violence, its promise, its deed, Power cares nothing for reason,

Nothing for justice, nothing for compassion,

It is, in fact, the singular abnegation of these things–

Once the cloak of deceits is stripped away,

This one truth is revealed.

Always continue the climb,

It is possible for you to do whatever you choose,

If you first get to know who you are and,

Are willing to work with a power that is greater than ourselves to do it.

The day the power of love overrules the love of power,

The world will know peace,

Something amazing happens when we surrender and just love.

We melt into another world, a realm of power already within us,

The world changes when we change, the world softens when we soften,

The world loves us when we choose to love the world,

Everyone has the revolver of resignation in his pocket,

I always looked upon the acts of racist exclusion, or insult, as pitiable, for the other person,

I never absorbed that,

I always thought that there was something deficient about such people.

Truth and trust are the means by which civilization holds off barbarism,

No amount of me trying to explain myself was doing any good,

I didn’t even know what was going on inside of me, so how could I have explained it to them?

Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power,

While the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.
