“Come down, believe,” the river gods say,
“Come wade in the waters,
Come kneel and pray...”
“We’ll drown your fear,
We’ll bathe your skin,
We’ll scrub away doubt and all of your sin...”
“Come fly, believe,” the sky gods croon,
Fly distant from the Sun,
But travel to the Moon.”
“We’ll clothe you in the clouds,
We’ll baptize you in the rains,
We’ll craft you the lightning, strike away from your chains...”
“Come feel, believe,” the fire gods glow,
“Dance freely like flames,
“Become lava and flow.”
“We’ll scorch a cinder path,
We’ll warm your cold,
You’ll erupt newborn making ash of the old.”
