Over The Moon

One Pleasant Summer Evening, We decided to spend time on Terrace

A dusk to dark transformation has always something special about it

As sun loses altitude on this side of the world

Wandering minds tend to relax and tranquil ones awake in search on exploration

As I laid down, looking into profoundness of dark sky

Realizing how beautiful the night was turning out to be

Moon at its brightest, helping shine the clouds around look picturesque

Far from it on the left, as if they aren't getting along blinks a star like a flash

Clouds unfurl over the sky like an aesthetic painting on a canvas

Cool evening breeze adds aroma to the scenic view making it alluring

Witnessing this from one corner of eye to another. That second

It felt like it was the perfect moment of my life. Until........

Until I saw your face by my side, resting on my shoulder

Fast asleep when I was lost in other world.

Startled to realize how foolish I was to miss another Moon

Shining in the light of actual Moon

How Did I miss This ?

That the darkness of your eyes can never be matched by any twilight

And fragrance of summer breeze making your hair flutter comes from your breathe

Minutes ago I laughed at half the world for not witnessing what I did

Now I pity the whole Universe for not having what I have - you

Never have I ever thought perfect moment would be without your presence unless I'm stupid

Then I saw silhouette of us on wall before me like we are meant to be together

That moment I realized I was having perfect moment of my life.

And that very moment I chose to look at your face over the Moon for the rest of my life and you never knew about it
