Of Blind Hamlets
Of Blind Hamlets
Empty vision misleads us always,
Make an able determined soul doubt self and vacillate,
As merciless tides of time sweep across the meaningless castles of dreams,
We strive to protect the perceived sand paradise and fail to save ourselves.
The fever of fame and craze claims our souls,
The addition of social respect - paints our specs black and old,
We follow the steps of self-deluded fools - as History misleads,
And persuade self to err more.
Now to those men who detach from fame – and appear as fools to us,
Is revealed the path of glory and guts?
Of those petty mockeries, from blind bullies who overlook
Are blessed with the courage to walk on the lesser-known path.
So, as we forge the (wo)man of honor –
One who fails to conform to all social customs – anonymously documented,
We reckon such prodigies and exclude our potent self thus –
Even as from the same yolk of life – we hail.
