Oblivious
Oblivious

Tragedy left a love unresolved
Happiness left at the weigh side with the departure of his soul
She’s inconsolable, unresponsive to any attempts to forget or bury the hatchet
She refuses to move on
Just as I proclaimed as my love disappeared into traffic...
To some, to move on is to forget
To her and I, we could never forget or relent in our pursuit of damnation
Love proves heavy that we should suffer life without our better halves
But life bestows upon us opportunity
Though broken we can be mended
It takes the soul of someone willing to fulfill such important shoes
To mend a heart that’s been abused by abrupt and sudden death
No overtime for us the time has come and so we let our spirit die with those we trust
And now we dwell alone
Oblivious to the prospect of salvation
We rather suffer then invest again
