Journey : A poem about the week
Journey : A poem about the week
With one long sigh
You leave paradise
Where time is at service
Hobbies at hand.
Except when of course,
A visitor pops in.
A sprightly waltz,
In a jazz concert that was.
When the curtains fall
You let out a sigh
It is a journey of trials
An adventure five nights long
You loan out your time
To get back in return
Interest to spend
And do as you please.
The first leg is hard,
For one eye of yours
Is still set on paradise lost.
Midnight, bitter-sweet
A tired traveller, hope seeks
The first sight of paradise
A beautiful island,
Two nights of peace.
