Wheels
Wheels
Little Tommy was prancing around
And stopped by the car at the roundabout
He put a paw up, looking silly
And on the wheel, showered gleefully
Now poor wheelie had to wait
For some water from the crate
All through the night, into daybreak
When Mason Jr wound come to work
"Oh, sneakers and a pair of jeans!"
"A happy drive maybe this means"
"Oh, look! Betsy and Clara too"
"It is the entire music troop"
The four wheelies jiggled in delight
A road trip was in clear sight
When the car rolled back, they closed their eyes
Said a prayer and screeched together
Then rock and roll through the highway
Ride rollercoasters when come they may
But first things first, they wanted a gas station
To eat a tummy of air and stay in condition!
As the vast road revealed a path untread
There was excitement in every thread
For miles, they rolled over mud and moisture
Flanked by avenues, mountains, and pasture
Every monotonous turn that the wheelies ventured
The music troop reveled in adventure.
A pink sunset transformed the blue sky black
The travelers and tired tires headed back
Amidst a cold, cold night and wind barrage
The wheelies slept in the warm garage.
