The Sandy Beach
The Sandy Beach

I stood on the sandy beach
There wasn't anyone
The waves touched my feet and retracted.
A rhythm
I don't like sandy beaches
The sand gets on your clothes
It is very hard to wash off
I prefer rocky beaches
Like the one I was at
last time
I stepped into the water
I didn't want to
It felt like I had no choice
I went on
The water was touching my knees
The beach was now filled
with people
They called me back
I was back on sand
I was safe
The waves surged
They touched my feet
They covered my ankles
The people didn't pay attention
The water would retract
And occasionally touch me
Was I safe? I think so
No, I wasn't
There was a butterfly
A butterfly shouldn't be at the beach
It was beautiful
It forced me to follow
I followed
There was no sand at my feet
No water
It was green
I was at an orchard
It was amazing
