Memories
Memories
Upon my face, a canvas fair
A reflection of my heart and care
Expressions etched in lines and creases
Memories and moments, each releases
The curve of lips that form a smile
A twinkle in the eye, a moment worthwhile
Laugh lines etched upon my cheeks
A lifetime of joy, my spirit seeks
But sorrow too has left its trace
A furrowed brow, a pensive face
A tear that falls, a heart that aches
The weight of loss, my soul it takes
And yet my face, it tells a tale
Of courage, strength, and love unveiled
A story writ in flesh and bone
A testament to all I've grown
So though my face may change with age
Its beauty never will abate
For every line and every scar
Is proof of life, a shining star.
