Once Love
Once Love
Once, love was easy and pure, Two hearts beating as one, always sure. But now, it hangs by a fragile thread, A love that's fading, no longer red.
They've lost the laughter that used to fill their days, The words they say now, just fade away. They've grown apart, it's plain to see, And the future of their love, it's starting to be.
But still, they hold on to what they once had, To the memories, good and bad. They remember the passion, the warmth, the embrace, And the moments that time can never erase.
They know they should let go, let
love set them free, But their hearts just won't let it be. For deep down inside, they still see the light,
The promise of love, shining so bright.
They hope that someday, they'll find their way, Back to the love that brightened their day. They'll fight for it, now and evermore, For they know that love is worth fighting for.
So they stand in limbo, between love and goodbye, Hoping that someday, they'll reach the sky.
And though their love may be fragile and lean, They'll hold on, for love is all they need.
