Humans

Humans, oh humans, what a wondrous breed,

So full of passion, so full of greed,

A curious race, forever in pursuit,

Of knowledge, of love, of power, of loot.

With hearts that can love and souls that can soar,

We dream of new worlds and what lies in store,

We build and create, we innovate and explore,

And strive to achieve more than ever before.

But with all our might and all our brains,

We often forget the costs and the pains,

Of our progress, our actions, and our gains,

And the damage we cause in our endless campaigns.

We fight and we hate, we deceive and we lie,

And sometimes we cause each other to die,

We tear down each other and the world we rely,

And forget the importance of peace and ally.

Yet, despite our flaws and our faults,

We are still capable of great deeds and results,

We can change our ways and rebuild what we’ve lost,

And create a future that’s worth the cost.

So let us embrace our humanity with pride,

And strive to create a world where we can all thrive,

With love and compassion, and a sense of global drive,

To make our world a better place to be alive.
