City - 3
City - 3
When I was closing my windows,
the city breezed in
It was clean,
like her first smile,
as if the city’s morning puff.
The city breezed in
through my half blinking windows
with a midnight trains noise
and a silence
she left in the air in a pause.
I switched off the light
to forget her,
when the city was melting into thin air.
Forgetting was impossible,
I was breathing.
