City -6
City -6
The rain wrapped the city,
In its streaks,
this evening.
The city cried like the child
who wetted the bed
in a slumber.
The sparking water
washed off the walking feet
to their houses,
locked them
under the dripping shelters.
The city
Sobbed then,
for a while,
the sky was clear,
like the woman’s eye
after tears.
City sometimes cry like
a bed wetting child
at midnight who
City looks thorny at its end
and a bit lonely.
